As a teacher in a Continuation school, for kids with major Behavorial problems, I saw this often. Being a parent myself, I could never understand how a parent could turn a child out. Eighteen and college comes soon enough. Even then I wished they were home. Not knowing where they were would be just too terrible. I hope they were able to resolve their conflict.
