Bravely told, Connie. I also have blocked out much of my childhood. When I do think of it, I view it like one of those old "flip books", where you flip the pages and you see panels moving like a movie reel. Abuse in childhood steals your memories, and I am thankful for that, in some ways. I applaud your strength in breaking the cycle.
