Her story was shared with me near the end of my year with her. I became brave enough to ask her. Her father was from Texas and fiercely proud of it. He named her after a lady rodeo performer of the time! TexAnn loved that. Although unaware of it at the time I came to realize that TexAnn was, as we say in the South, “A member of our church!”
