I am so sorry for the loss of your good friend. I also lost a good friend of 30 years just weeks ago. She also requested no service. So, we had a gathering that we called "The NOT about Linda get together." It was healing to be with other friends and share our stories and grief. I work in Death Care daily. Memorials and funerals are for the living, not the deceased. I wish you peace in coming to terms.
