Now 66, and also a survivor of early childhood abuse, I found much in your story that resonated within my thoughts. In particular, your description of the inner thoughts of how a child has to adjust how they must "think" to survive around struggling, damaged adults. So much of that was exactly how I learned to hide, survive, and escape. I am so happy for you to have found the strength to mold your own path.
