Ok It Was A Bad Day at Work

Some days you just are not appreciated enough.

Tuesday was a less-than-good day at work. Ok, it was a bad day. I guess everything started when I walked in and the receptionist looked at me. Okay, the WAY she looked at me. I didn’t like it. I told her, “Watch out, I have an attitude today and I am not afraid to use it.” She replied, “I’m busy. You are ugly. Have a nice day.”

I dropped by my coworker’s desk for some encouragement. She was scrolling, and I called her on it. Big mistake. She said, “Of course I’m not busy, I did it right the first time! But, don’t worry, I can multitask. I can work and piss you off at the same time. My next mood swing is in six minutes.” I moved on.

Rob from accounting was waiting at my desk. I asked him what was up. He said, “I’m one of those bad things that happen to good people, and you are next. I need this month’s margin totals for a nine-thirty meeting. When can you hand them to me?” My response? How about never? Does never work for you? You know I hate everyone, and now you are next.” He moved on.

So, there I was. All stressed out and no one to choke. Amanda stopped by my cubicle and started on one of her pointless stories. I held up my hand and said, “Sorry if I looked interested. I'm not! Please…
