One of my favorite TV show lines came on an episode of The Closer, with Kyra Sedgewick. Her hispanic coworker is commenting on how Caucasions put their elderly into a care home. He said, "In our culture, we throw some carpet down in the garage and they live with us, their family." I loved that. It is shameful how we have come to a place in our culture where our elders are sequestered away with other aged and dying to slowly meet that same fate.
