Reading through the responses there is a lot of good, thoughtful ideas to grasp. Living with constant pain for the last 30 years has taught me many things, most of all patience with others, tolerance of mood, and just what MUST be done and what should be done sometimes. I've adopted a "less narcotics or meds the better" approach, and I'm happier that way. Motrin is my miracle drug, used conservatively. Sixty eight this coming birthday, and adjusting to that in the gay world is not easy, but I find that my niche in the "world" as a whole is a lot more satisfying. Wishing you the best on this journey of adjustment. Namaste, my good on-line friend.
