So much here I could relate to. I was in my first, straight marriage for 15 years, before I "blew" the closet doors open, with many of the same results. I've been with my husband now for over 30 years. Kids are grown, and we are looking at how to age in place. I made a lot of missteps. Coming out was not one of them. You told your story well.
