This was just a wonderful read this morning. I'm a gay man in my 70s now. I've been with my husband for over 30 years. At this point I no longer care what anyone thinks of our relationship, but I recall my "coming out" days when I "blew the closet doors off the hinges." I was impatient with family who couldn't accept us right away, (and some still do not) and I could have handled it so much better.
