Twins! Our Family Grows

My memory fools me frequently, especially when I think of my children. My three kids are often frozen in moments that increasingly are more than twenty-five years old! Many special moments are frozen in time because they are so sweet and special that you’ll never forget them. I have a lot of those, as any parent will. But today I’m not recalling one of THOSE moments….I am recalling one of those moments that is frozen in my mind due to the humor and impish nature of my youngest daughter, who just became a mom of TWINS, a boy, and a girl. The newest members of our family.

“Children are not things to be molded, but little people to be unfolded!”

What a LONG nine months! Now the tiny twins are here, and all are doing well. My own little girl will now hold these two tender, precious miracles in her arms, look at her husband, and experience the joy and wonder that is a child of your own. Although she came to me via a waiting room in an airport from around the other side of the world, I had that same wonderment, love, surprise, and fiercely protective nature that “this is my child” when she landed in my arms as a picture, then as my baby girl. That moment is electrifying and also frozen in time.

But, back to that one memory that forever resides in your mind’s eye and your thoughts. I certainly laugh about the incident now, and I tell it because it is just…
