Working as a Certified Celebrant, meeting with the family of the deceased is almost a daily occurrence for me. Everyone, almost without exception, thinks they have more time. Those who have prepared for the event of their death save their family a huge amount of grief and trouble at the end. Those who have "finished well" have family meetings with a lot of laughter mixed in with tears. Those who have not have a lot of silence, family dysfunction, and grief. There is a huge difference in "finishing well" and "finishing without preparation", I can assure you.
